SupaStore Academy opened in July 2020 as a long-term installation by Sarah Staton at Nida Art Colony (NAC), part of the Vilnius Academy of Arts. The project extended the SupaStore series of hybrid environments, presenting artist multiples and small scale works.

Developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, the project responded to the sudden suspension of global retail systems and public marketplaces. In contrast to the closure of commercial spaces worldwide, SupaStore Academy proposed a model of exchange grounded in artistic collaboration and educational networks.

Through an open call initiated by Sarah Staton and NAC director Egija Inzule, students and faculty from art academies across Europe were invited to send works to NAC. The project assembled portable artworks, mail art, design objects and small sculptural works capable of circulating through postal networks.

A bespoke kiosk designed by Jurga Daubaraitė, Jonas Žukauskas, on the Nida boardwalk was created to host the SupaStore Academy. Supported by the Lithuanian Council for Culture, the Royal College of Art and the Vilnius Academy of Arts, SupaStore Academy functioned both as an exhibition and a learning platform and remained active until 2025.
